Our expanding program needs dynamic part-time MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING INSTRUCTORS with a passion for teaching to present well prepared, organized, and clear lectures, plan lab activities, as well as encourage students on their progress. Applicants MUST possess very strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills. Commitment to/knowledge of retention strategies. Class sessions are Friday afternoon, from 3:30pm to 7:00pm.

MEDICAL CODING AND BILLING INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in the medical insurance billing and coding field with professional knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG coding, as well as Billing & Reimbursement experience in varying settings. Firm knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, keyboarding, and EMR is also necessary. Previous teaching experience is not required, but is preferred.

Special consideration will be given to applicants with CPC, CCS, RHIT or RHIA certification.
